Experience in Class

The final post should be a discussion of your experience in this class as a whole.  What was your favorite module? What was your least favorite? Why did you like/dislike them? Which tools do you think you will use after this class? In what ways? (Consider this your "final" in the course. Prove to me what you've learned and how you see it affecting your academics, your future career, and your personal life).

Hi again! This will be my last post on this blog.

I have really enjoyed getting to learn about different sites, blogging, and formatting in this class.

My favorite module was either the Wiki assignment or this blog assignment.

My lease favorite module was the HTML website assignment and the Google Sites assignment. I enjoyed learning how to write code, but thought it was hard and frustrating when I could not get it to work. Although it was difficult, I would still like to learn more about writing code since I will probably be using that in the future. I did not like Google Sites because of the troubleshooting problems I was having when it came to the design and template of the site, along with getting the gadgets in the correct spot.

I am hoping to have a career in sports marketing and photography, and I know that I would save a lot of money if I knew how to make a website myself. I would also be able to get exactly what I wanted since I would be the one creating it. I have seen some really amazing websites and now after I know a little about code writing, I cannot imagine the time spent on creating some of the websites I have seen. Some have so much detail that seem like they would take weeks and months to create.

I also hope to use what I have learned in my personal life with my photography business and my t-shirt company. It is a lot easier to create site for photography than it is for t-shirts. For photography, I just want a gallery or portfolio-type site. Maybe one day I can add a store to it if people want to buy my photos offline, but for now that is all I need.

For my t-shirts though, I need a store, and a complex store. I have to have different size options and different sleeve options. I have about 20 different shirts right now, and that makes creating a site very time consuming and difficult. I hopefully will learn how to make it work though.

Experience with Blogger

Hi again! This post will be about my experience with Blogger, not just now but in the past as well.

In the past, I have used Blogger for a few different things. I started a blog just about my life and some of my favorite things called I Heart It Sweetie. I also started a blog about my photography hoping to get more business and to get my name out there. It's called JR Sports Photography. I didn't know if I liked using a blog for my photography so that's when I started the PortfolioBox website (Link Here). Using a regular website for photography works a lot better than using a blog. The third blog I created was one to post about my experience at college. I honestly forgot about it, so I haven't posted anything on it, but I'm hoping to post some more second semester.

I really enjoy Blogger, especially compared to the complication of other sits. If you don’t want anything complicated and just want to post thing and not worry about designs, formatting, or anything complicated, Blogger is perfect. I would classify it as a WYSIWYG website, because of the ease of formatting, but there’s not much you can do besides post words and some photos. I personally want a website to do more with, especially for my photography and t-shirt company.

Welcome!

Hi! Welcome to my blog. I hope you enjoy!

Here is another picture from my collection. I am really getting into black and white, so hope everyone likes it. Also, here is the link to my photography business webpage JR Sports & Equine Photography.

Enjoy!
